Born in 1972 and from Monson, Massachusetts, Maslon is an artist whose work is most highly influenced by Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Peter Max and Roy Lichtenstein– all of whom he had met respectively. Maslon was the recipient of two American art scholarships and one Korean art grant and received his B.F.A in printing from Ohio’s Columbus College of Art and Design in 1996. His refined focus is primarily on serigraphy (silkscreen printing) and his mixed media images cross boundaries of the everyday and mundane, mixed with glitz and glam, then soaked in the unfamiliar. Maslon is currently a resident of Daejeon, South Korea, a professor at Daejeon Health and Sciences and has lived in Korea for the last twelve years with his wife and daughter.
